Firecell and CloudRAN.AI Partner to Expand Cost-Competitive, High-Performance Private 5G for Global System Integrators

CloudRAN.AI, a provider of private 5G, mission-critical communications (MCX), AI-powered network planning and radio access solutions, today announced a strategic partnership with Firecell, a leading provider of private 5G network solutions.
Under the partnership, CloudRAN.AI’s radio portfolio and AI-powered network planning capabilities (Megrez) will be integrated into Firecell’s ecosystem, helping system integrators (SIs) deploy scalable, high-performance private 5G networks across industrial, healthcare, and enterprise environments—while improving the price-to-performance equation that often blocks adoption.
As private 5G demand grows, many SI-led deployments face two practical obstacles: deployment complexity and total cost of ownership (TCO). By combining Firecell’s delivery model with CloudRAN.AI’s modular radio architectures, the two companies aim to make private 5G more accessible, easier to deploy, and more competitive versus traditional Wi-Fi in real-world environments.
Bridging Performance and Price for SI-Led Deployments
For SIs, the challenge is rarely “does 5G work?”, it’s whether it can be delivered at the right cost, speed, and operational simplicity for each customer site.
Radio hardware is often a meaningful portion of total project cost, and installation complexity can quickly increase both CAPEX and ongoing OPEX.
At the same time, for mission-critical scenarios, the roadmap can also extend to MCX, so communications are engineered as a service, not left to best effort.
This partnership addresses those realities with architectures designed to reduce components, streamline rollout, and improve coverage efficiency, while supporting demanding enterprise use cases that require predictable performance.
Key Architectural Advantages for System Integrators
The expanded portfolio focuses on two primary deployment needs—outdoor coverage efficiency and granular indoor precision:
Optimized Outdoor Coverage with All-in-One Radios
Firecell will offer CloudRAN.AI's 10W (2×2 5W) and 40W All-in-One outdoor radios, designed to reduce complexity and speed up deployment:
Simplified deployment: Baseband and radio are integrated, requiring fewer components and faster setup
Coverage efficiency: Higher power options can reduce the number of radios required for large sites, improving reliability and lowering maintenance overhead
Granular Indoor Coverage with Pico-RU Active DAS
For challenging indoor environments—such as hospitals, multi-story facilities, and compartmentalized buildings—the partnership introduces a Pico Radio Unit (pRU) Active DAS architecture.
A key element is the CloudRAN.AI's capability to have multiple pRUs operate as a unified coverage layer to minimize handover issues and support seamless mobility across complex spaces. This design gives SIs:
Operational flexibility: Granular coverage tailored to traffic density and building constraints
Mobility continuity: More consistent connectivity as devices move through separated zones and floors
Global Footprint and Market Readiness
The partnership is designed to support SI deployments across Europe and North America, including the frequency band diversity required for multi-region rollouts.
Whether customers need rugged outdoor coverage, high-density indoor precision, or both, Firecell and CloudRAN.AI aim to provide the architectural modularity SIs need to win bids and deliver measurable ROI faster.
"Private 5G is moving from large flagship deployments toward a much higher volume of mid-size industrial and enterprise sites. At that scale, total cost of ownership and deployment speed determine whether a project gets approved. This partnership gives system integrators the hardware economics and deployment simplicity to compete on those projects, backed by the performance that the most demanding use cases require," said Claude Seyrat, CEO of Firecell.
“This partnership makes it easier for system integrators to deliver private 5G at the speed and cost enterprise sites require. Through Firecell’s ecosystem, SIs can access CloudRAN.AI All-in-One radios for efficient outdoor coverage and Active DAS for complex indoor environments – so they can standardize designs, reduce on-site complexity, and deploy repeatably with performance that holds up in real conditions,” said Michel Trudelle, Partnership Director at CloudRAN.AI.
Availability
The integrated offering is already available through Firecell’s ecosystem for system integrators and customers evaluating private 5G deployments. CloudRAN.AI and Firecell are engaging with partners to support rollout planning and delivery.
